What we do

Education is critical to escape chronic poverty and to prevent the transmission of poverty between generations. Investing in education yields significant development benefits. Education reduces poverty, boosts economic growth and increases income. Education increases a person’s chances of having a healthy life, reduces maternal deaths and combats diseases such as HIV and AIDS.

100% For The Children

100% for the Children was founded in 2008 by Signe Vorster. She arrived in Kenya in 2007 and after meeting with children and families living on the dumpsite was inspired to make a difference and founded the organisation 100% to the Children. Her efforts in improving the living conditions for poor and vulnerable children in Africa has since 2008 been widely recognised and she was named ‘Woman of the Year’ in 2011 by ‘Alt for Damerne’ (Danish Magazine) and was nominated for the ‘Hero of the Year’-award in 2012. 100% is a registered charity organisation in Denmark approved by the Danish tax authorities under article 8 and 12. The organisation has an elected board, and a smaller secretariat in Copenhagen.
